What We Do

Precept Ministries mission is "to establish people in God's Word."

In order to accomplish this mission we work with individuals and the local church primarily to teach people how to study the Bible for themselves. Flowing out of this is the training of Bible study leaders who will then also be able to go out and lead classes of students who are studying the Bible for themselves.

Our model can be summed up in our threefold statement, "Discover, Go Deeper with Others, Disciple".

Discover — inductive Bible study opens up the Bible in a way that is easy to follow and understand. More than just 'reading' you'll see how easy it can be to study the Bible. When you discover inductive Bible study through using one of our Bible studies or attending a workshop you'll be amazed at what God shows you from His Word. It's lifechanging!

Go Deeper with Others — there's nothing like the joy of discovering what God's Word has to say for yourself, unless it's the fellowship that you can have with others around the Word. When you join a small group that is studying the Bible together you'll be able to discuss what God is showing you and share how you are applying those truths to your life.

Disciple — When God shows you the treasures in His Word you will want others to gain access to this abundance. Whether you are discipling one or twenty, inductive Bible study small groups offer an unusal learning environment for serious Bible students. At the Precept leader training workshops, small group leaders are trained how to lead a discussion group of the previous week's lesson, rather than lecture the class based on what they have learned. As the students participate in the discussion from their personal study of the Scriptures deep spiritual change begins to happen. The Holy Spirit takes that which every student has mined from the Word and begins to work out holiness in the students' lives.

Precept Ministries works tirelessly, in partnership with the local church, teaching individuals how to study the Bible using the Inductive Bible Study Method.

Each year thousands of individuals are trained and equipped to study the Bible inductively and to be inductive Bible study teachers and leaders in Canada, the United States and around the world. The potential of reaching millions more people exists in every area of ministry—across Canada, America, overseas, over the airwaves and through the Internet.

Precept is accepting God's challenge in coming alongside people who are hungry for the Word. Hearts are open, opportunities abound and Precept Ministries is ready and uniquely qualified to meet the needs of the spiritually starving. And the time to move is now!
